The demand for electric and luxury vehicles in the Indian market is increasing rapidly and in this episode, JSW-MG Motor India has created a stir in the market with its first All-Electric MPV MG M9. The company has officially disclosed the specifications, features and range of this electric vehicle. Its booking has been started from May 2025 at a token amount of Rs 51,000. This car can set a new example in the premium segment and its ex-showroom price can start from Rs 65 lakh to 70 lakhs.
Strong battery and long range
The MG M9 is equipped with a powerful 90kwh’s nickel-manneys-cobalt (NMC) battery pack, which makes it a powerful performance in the segment. This battery gives power to the electric motor on the front-axle which generates 245 HP power and 350Nm torque. The company claims that this car is capable of giving a driving range of up to 548 km on full charge, which also suits it for long drives.
Talking about charging options, the MG M9 160kw DC fast charger can be charged in just 90 minutes, while it takes about 10 hours to fully charge it with 11KW AC charger. Not only this, it also has V2L (Vehicle to Load) and V2V (Vehicle to Vehicle) charging support, so that this vehicle can also charge other devices or vehicles.
International-Level Interior
The MG M9 is designed to give an experience-like experience from the inside. Especially the presidential seats given in its second row give it a business class like a luxury aircraft. These seats are equipped with heating, ventilation and massage functions and are also given fold-out Ottoman (foot-placing stool). Along with this, there is also a feature of ‘boss mode’, so that the person sitting behind can move the front passenger seat further and get more legumes.
Talking about the front cabin, it has a 12.23-inch touchscreen infotainment system, 7-inch digital driver display, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Other major features also include premium touch such as panoramic sunroof, 64 color ambient lighting, PM 2.5 air purifier, and wireless charging.
Also at the forefront of safety
The MG M9 has also been strengthened in terms of security. It has several advance safety technology with Adas Level 2. This includes standard features such as 7 airbags, 360 degree camera, ESP (Electronic Stability Program), TPMS (Tire Pressure Monitoring System) and disc brakes in all four wheels. The car has also been provided a 5-star safety rating by Euro NCAP and Australian NCAP, which installs it at international level in terms of safety.

Premium design and sliding doors
The exterior of MG M9 is as attractive as its interior. Its front has split LED headlamps, connected DRLs and premium front grille. The most special in side profiles is its electric sliding rear doors, which gives it a luxury MPV identified. Along with this, alloy wheels equipped with 19-inch self-healing containntal tires have also been installed in it.
Big step in premium electric segment
The MG M9 is going to emerge as a large and premium option in the electric MPV segment in the Indian market. Its long range, luxury interior, powerful battery and international safety ratings directly install it as a family friendly luxury electric MPV. If its price is within a radius of Rs 65-70 lakh, then this car can give a direct competition to high-end MPVs like Toyota Velfire.
