VINFAST, the leading electric vehicle manufacturer of Vietnam, has officially stepped into the Indian market and started booking the booking process of its two premium electric SUVs – Vinfast VF6 and VF7 -. Both these vehicles of the company claim to give a new direction in the electric vehicle segment in India. Both these models can be booked in India from July 15 and customers can pre-book the company’s showroom or official website Vinfastauto.in by giving them a token amount of ₹ 21,000.
Launched in August 2025, delivery will start from Tamil Nadu plant
Vinfast plans to launch these electric vehicles in India in August 2025. The launch event will be held with the inauguration of the company’s new manufacturing plant to be built in Tuticorin, Tamil Nadu. Production and delivery of these trains will also be started from this plant. As soon as the plant starts, Vinfast will strengthen the local assembly and distribution network of its vehicles, which will make it easier for customers to get quick delivery and service.

Vinfast VF7: Strong Battery and Luxury Look
The Vinfast VF7 is a premium electric SUV that the company has introduced with state -of -the -art technology and excellent design. This vehicle has a large battery of 75.3 kwh, which once provides a range of 431 km with full charge. Its motor generates the strength of 348 horsepower, which makes it sporty and powerful. It has a number of premium features like Level 2 Adas (Advanced Driver Assistant Systems), large touchscreen infotainment system, connected car technology, panoramic glass roof, wireless charging, and Signature LED lighting. Its interior is designed to give premium experience that ensures excessive comfort for both driver and passenger.
Vinfast VF6: Powerful Performance with compact SUV
VF6 is a little compact SUV model compared to VF7 but it is also full of excellent features. It has a 59.6 kwh battery, which gives a range of up to 381 km in single charge. Its motor gives strength up to 201 horsepower, which makes it suitable for both urban and highway driving. The VF6 also has modern facilities such as advance safety features, Adas technology, panoramic roof, connected features and signature LED lighting, which can make this vehicle specially attracted to young and technology lovers.
Possible price and match
Vinfast has not yet disclosed the official prices of VF6 and VF7, but according to automobile experts and media reports, the initial price of VF6 can be kept around ₹ 25 lakhs and VF7 can be priced between ₹ 30-35 lakhs. If these estimates prove to be accurate, this pair of Vinfast can give tough competition to existing electric SUVs like Mg ZS Ev, Hyundai Kona Electric, byd Atto 3 and Mahindra XUV400 in the Indian market.

Vinfast’s future strategy in India
Vinfast’s entry in India is not limited to car launch only. The company has planned to set up the manufacturing unit as well as the entire EV ecosystem in India. This will not only provide vehicles at better prices to Indian customers but will also strengthen servicing, spare parts and charging infrastructure locally. This aggressive strategy of Vinfast in emerging EV markets like India can make him a strong player.
